Streszczenie
Celem pracy jest przedstawienie obecnej pozycji Palestyny w ONZ i podsumowanie roli, jaką do tej pory Palestyna pełniła w Organizacji. W tym celu najpierw należy dokonać charakterystyki instytucji stałego obserwatora w ogólnym ujęciu i w odniesieniu do ONZ, wskazać na jej znaczenie i funkcje, aby następnie móc scharakteryzować sposób wykonywania tej roli przez Palestynę. W dalszej kolejności należy przedstawić skutki nadania Palestynie statusu non-member Observer State. Ostatnia część zostanie poświęcona na zaprezentowanie starań Palestyny o przyjęcie do ONZ, biorąc pod uwagę kryteria członkowstwa z art. 4 Karty Narodów Zjednoczonych oraz procedurę przyjęcia do Organizacji. Zakończenie pracy stanowi podsumowanie dokonanych rozważań.
Streszczenie (j. angielski)
The goal of the article is to present the contemporary status of Palestine in the United Nations Organization and to sum up the role played by Palestine till now. Thus, one need to start with describing the institution of the Permanent Observer in general and in relation to the United Nations, all along with pointing its meaning and functions. Then, it can be related to Palestine status. Next, the results of granting the non-member Observer State status to Palestine are displayed. The last part of the work is devoted to the presentation of the Palestine’s efforts to be admitted to the United Nations, taking into account the criteria of membership from article 4 of the United Nations Charter and the procedure of admission. Finally, the conclusions can be drown.
